On March 2025, a powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar's central Sagaing Region, followed by a 6.4-magnitude aftershock. The disaster has resulted in over 3,600 confirmed deaths and over 4,800 injuries. Relief efforts have faced significant challenges, primarily due to government-imposed access restrictions, limited funding, and constrained connectivity.
The ERT supported a network of aid organization, that were collecting requests from the field for aid, and delivering aid supplies and equipment.
The ERT supported this network remotely, and in several days help them collect over 400 requests and aid deliveries including support for emergency medical and health services, safe drinking water and sanitation, shelter, and non-food items.
